Expand the versatility of your lathe and mount your workpieces quicker and easier with the self-centering 4-jaw chuck. Youll appreciate the following features: wide range of jaw movement, quick action and a powerful grip in either expansion or contraction modes. Jaws will expand and grip in a 2-3" dovetailed recess in the base of your turning. Simply rotate the chucks outer ring in the opposite direction to firmly hold round stock between 1-5/8" and 2-3/4" or square billets 1-1/8" to 2-1/8" in size. No disassembly or accessories are required to use the accompanying screw chuck, which has a 1-1/8" long right hand thread. Chuck body is chrome-plated to protect against corrosion while the jaws are anodized black. Comes complete with screw center, locking levers, T-handled hex wrench for jaw screws and 8 extra jaw screws. Everything is secure in a fitted plastic storage/carrying case.

The spacer block kit allows parts of larger diameters to be turned on the lathe. By raising the headstock 1.25, parts up to 6 in diameter can be turned over the bed, or 4-3/8 over the table. Included are both the 1.25 riser block and a special riser rocker tool post that is also extended by 1.25. The riser block can also be used to extend the throat distance on a Sherline mill by an additional 1.25, as it is the same as the P/N 1297 headstock spacer block. Precision ground alignment key and attachment bolts are included.
