Power feed (120 VAC) Reviews

Power feed (120 VAC) Detail
- Runs on 120 Volts AC (240 volt version is P/N 3011)
- Single speed (.9/min), single direction (right to left) feed
- Used to achieve consistent finish on final light cut on lathe
The power feed is used to achieve smooth, even finishes on the final pass when turning a long part. Due to variations in speed when turning a handwheel by hand, it is sometimes hard to get a perfectly consistent finish on a part. This single speed, single direction drive system moves at .9/min. from right to left on the lathe to give that good final finish you are looking for. It is mounted to the left of the machine and drives the leadscrew from the left end. An engagement shaft and engagement lever are included. (NOTE: If using with DRO, call Sherline at (800) 541-0735 and ask for slightly longer engagement shaft needed when used with that option. Not for use with 3100 threading attachment. Unlike on full-size lathes, power is not needed to cut small threads.) Designed for use with Sherline tools only.
